Pete Niesen is a Flash and web developer specializing in custom Flash applications and eLearning courses. He has extensive experince in designing application interfaces and delivering video via the web. Whether working with Fortune 500 companies or small firms, Pete delivers websites and eLearning material which engages and informs the audience.

When not in front of the screen designing Pete is usually behind the lens photographing. Pete's love of travel and the outdoors has led him all over North, Central, and South America. Some of the activities which provide much of his inspiration include: Hiking, scuba diving, wake boarding, paddling, and catching a good band. Volvo of America retail sales force training. This course is designed to increase awareness of Volvo's advantages over market competitors. Through the use of video and "quiz" questions in a Flash interface, viewers are educated on the features of Volvo vehicles.

For delivery via CD-Rom and the web to Volvo of America retail sales force. The full course is AICC and SCORM compliant and is integrated into Volvo's Learning Management System (LMS).

BMW Bikes of North America Training Test. This course is designed as the final test for BMW's technitions after completing 30 hrs of online training. The course uses a multiple branching paths and combines interactions with text in a "Choose your own Adventure" format.

The course is SCORM compliant and is Linked to BMW's LMS. Through BMW's LMS, scores are compiled on a national basis and awards are given anually to top performers.

RBC's Sales Management Routines training course. RBC wanted to expand into eLearning by delivering this course via the web to all sales managers desktops, globally. The completed course is 8 hours. The course is SCORM Compliant.

eLearning Course

IBM's Digital Video Library division was looking to outsource their eLearning CD-Rom and Web production, including a back catalog of over 1,000 titles. Based on style guidlnes set by IBM I developed an eLearning application and interface which allows students to view content, interactive labs, and workbooks via CD-Rom or the web. Based on my design and functionality Convergent Media was awarded the multi-million dollar contract to create all future IBM DVL courses.

The course was created using HTML, XML, Javascript, and a custom Windows Media Player interface.

BMW Bikes technitions certification course. This series of training courses totaling 32 hours is required training for all new BMW bike technitions. The course is AICC and SCORM Compliant and is integrated into BMW's Learning Management System (LMS).

Video, Flash interactions, technical diagrams, and animated characters are combined with multiple choice, drag and drop, point and click and Discovery test questions in an HTML interface. For delivery via secure web to all BMW bike shops in North America.

This is an example of a custom learning object created for BMW Bikes. This learning object is used to teach new technitions the proper use of Vernier Calipers. This simulation and related questions comprises 3 questions in a course of 65 questions.

Refined Solutions incorporated application help files. This applications was delivered with software manuals and via the web to provide online support and training to RSI's customers.
