Netscape Navigator version 4.5 to 4.76 is supported for iPresenter. Currently, Netscape versions 6 and higher are not supported. Additional plug-ins might need to be installed. If a plug-in is required, the browser will direct you to take the appropriate action. For instance, to launch the presentation materials from Netscape Navigator, the appropriate plug-in for Windows Media player will need to be installed.
Note: There are known problems launching iPresenter with Netscape for MS Windows 95 and MS Windows NT. It is highly recommended that MS Internet Explorer be used.
If the need arises to access the course materials from a location other than the student's CD-ROM drive, such as a network drive or the user's hard disk drive, then the following must be done.
- The entire contents of the CD should be copied to the source directory. This can be accomplished using a standard copy procedure, such as Windows Explorer or a command line. The path chosen to copy to does not matter as long as the directory structure of the CD is kept intact.
- The user should use the index_offline.html to access the course materials without Internet access, or the index_online.html to access the Web-Enhanced features.
- In order for the Web-Enhanced Mode to be able to LanLaunch* the presentation files and manuals from a location other than the CD-ROM drive, the Enable LanLaunch program must be run again from the initial menu found on the AutoRun application. This will reset the LanLaunch.ini file to point to the new source file location.
Please refer to the Getting Started guide for an explanation of the LanLaunch feature.
